- Excavation
- Dig a level hole for the tank (usually 6–8 feet deep).
- Excavate trenches for the drain field, typically 18 to 30 inches deep.
- Tank Placement
- Lower the tank into the hole using machinery.
- Fill with water to prevent floating during backfill.
- Pipe Connections
- Install 4″ PVC inlet and outlet pipes with proper slope.
- Seal connections with grommets or watertight fittings.
- Distribution Box & Leach Field
- Set the box on native soil and level it.
- Lay perforated pipe or chambers in trenches.
- Cover with gravel and soil, leaving inspection ports accessible.
- Final Inspection
- Schedule with local authorities to confirm code compliance.
